REVOLVER. Cal 45 Colt. S# SA36414. Bbl. 4 3/4". Mfg 1981 and subsequently engraved by Colt Master Engraver Bob Burt. Revolver features full coverage scroll engraving with mixture of straight line & fancy borders. Both sides of bbl. adorned with floral scroll terminating in a fan of feathers. Left side of frame has panel scene of 3 bison on the plains with mountains in background. Left recoil shield shows a relief carved Native American bust. Loading gate bears relief carved bison bust. Right side of frame has panel scene of mounted Native warrior overlooking teepee encampment. Sides of hammer engraved with eagle. Top of backstrap has relief carved Native headdress. Floral scroll is pierced with spear on ejector housing and broken arrow on butt. Floral scroll intertwines Native cave drawing style bear track on bottom of trigger guard. Bbl. is signed on bottom "Engraved by Bob Burt". Gun is stocked with 1 exceedingly scarce piece pink hued mother of pearl grips (divers are no longer diving for this anymore due to the danger involved). An absolute masterpiece done at the hand on one of the notable Colt factory engravers. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: original matching wood grain factory Colt box with styrofoam inserts. Original matching numbered 2 piece hard rubber Colt eagle grips. CONDITION: all aspects near excellent, appears unturned & unfired since time of upgrade. (25-1519/BH). MODERN. $9,000-14,000.
