CASE. Cal. 6.3X52 (25-35 Winchester)/20 Ga. 3". S# 12002. The 26" demi-bloc barrels are fitted with raised matted ventilated rib which holds two folding blade rear sights and silver bead front. Top barrel is engraved "Heinrich Krieghoff Gun & Rifle Maker" "Suhl -Germany". Barrel flats and bottom of rifle barrel are stamped with October 1928 German proofs for 20 Ga. and 6.3x52 rifle cartridge. It appears combo was made for the American market given wording in English and chambering for this popular American cartridge, the 25-35 Winchester. French gray finished sidelock double Kirsten O/U action features non-automatic safety, raised rib tumbler end cocking indicators and double triggers (front set). "HK" and anchor Krieghoff logo is on breech face. Action is engraved with 70% coverage varying size scroll within line and geometric borders. No maker's name or wording is present. Capped pistol grip buttstock of well marbled and figured European walnut measures 14" over ribbed horn buttplate. Point pattern checkering is at grip and a sling loop matching that soldered to bottom barrel is on toeline. Matching three piece forend has Deeley release. MEASUREMENTS: 20 Ga. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: gun comes with mottled tan leather case lined in green velvet that has Armsport Inc. label in lid. Case contains exterior straps. CONDITION: very fine, retaining about 95% original blue on barrels and 90% French gray on action, which also shows some spotting on bottom left side from cleaning. Blued top lever is very slightly silvered on thumb piece. Stocks retain about 95% original oil finish with a good scattering of minor marks. Bores are bright and shiny. Action is tight.
