WITH M1915 PATTERN NAVY BAYONET. Cal. 6.5x55mm Swedish. S# 57005. Bbl. 18". M/94-14 bolt action carbine mfg. by Carl Gustaf in 1914. The receiver is marked "CARL GUSTAFS STADS/ GEVARSFAKTORI/ 1914" over the chamber, with inspector initials "H.K." followed by the S# marked on the left receiver wall. Buttstock is stamped with a Crown/C on the underside of the wrist. Metal components exhibit a blued finish, with the bolt assembly and buttplate exhibiting a a polished in-the-white finish. Plain wood buttstock with brass trajectory disc and wood handguard. Carbine is mounted with an M1915 pattern blade bayonet that is marked "EJ (Crowned Anchor) AB" on the left ricasso. Matching numbers are present on the receiver, bolt assembly, buttplate, rear bbl. band, as well as the bayonet lug. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: spare non-matching rear bbl. band and M/40 pistol oiler. CONDITION: metal components retain large amounts of their Swedish arsenal blue finish, exhibiting areas of wear and thinning that show through to gray patina, with scattered superficial handling marks overall. In-the-white components exhibit some scattered spots of age related discoloration and some oxidation. Mirror bore, exhibiting strong rifling throughout. Wood furniture shows scattered marks and dings from handling and storage, but otherwise remains sturdy and serviceable. Bayonet is very good overall. The Collection of Curtis H Halvorson.
