ACTION MILITARY CARBINE. Cal. 7.5 Swiss. S# 44984. Matching numbers on receiver, bolt, and mag.; no visible import marking. Bbl. 23 1/4". This arm, although termed a carbine, more nearly resembles the universal short rifle coming into use in the early 20th century. Tangent rear sight graduated to 1500 meters. Blade front sight with protective ears. Receiver is marked on top with intertwined "BP" and acceptance marks. Marked on the left side under serial number "P," indicating private sale; also marked "23." Bolt handle has brown composite knobs. Stacking bar is present. European walnut stock set. Handguard extends from receiver ring to upper band. Provision for side sling. MAGS: one detachable matching 6-rd. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: original model 1911 carbine brass and steel sight cover. CONDITION: stock set has extensive wear and numerous handling marks, retaining its original finish. Notable dent in the lower right side of the buttstock. Metal retains 75% of its lightly worn, thinning original blue. Very good, shiny bore. (24-5020/RW). CURIO. $300-500.
