SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOL. Cal. 30 Luger. S# 74479. Bbl. 4 3/4". Swiss Model 1929 Luger semi-automatic pistol, mfg. by Waffenfabrik Bern in 1944. Interior of the forward frame well is marked with the 2-digit year of mfg. "44," with Waffenfabrik Bern's "W+F" logo stamped on the rear of the frame. Rear frame well and underside of bbl. extension are stamped with a Rifle/N, indicating sub-contracted mfg. by SIG Neuhausen. Toggle is marked with the Swiss Federal cross within a shield. Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall. Frame is mounted with 2-piece checkered black plastic grips. Blade front sight with U-notch rear sight. All serialized parts are matching and include the frame, sideplate, bbl., bbl. extension, as well as the rear toggle link. MAGS: one Swiss 8-rd. with brown plastic bottom. CONDITION: Metal components retain bountiful amounts of their Swiss arsenal blue finish, exhibiting few small spots of light wear and thinning overall. Safety lever exhibits scattered spots of cleaned surface oxidation. Mirror bore, exhibiting well-defined rifling throughout. Right grip panel is very good, with the left panel exhibiting several scattered nicks and losses to the diamonds. (24-4181/MLW). CURIO. $1,000-1,500.
