ARMY, FULLY ENGRAVED & INLAID BY FEGA MASTER ENGRAVER, MICHAEL DUBBER. Cal. 45 Colt. S# SA40181. This breathtaking, one-of-a-kind Colt Single Action Army revolver by FEGA Master Engraver Michael Dubber pays powerful tribute to the great buffalo hunts of the American Plains, capturing the tension, grace, and reverence of the Native American warrior culture that defined a vanishing era. Bbl. 5 1/2" with double banded gold wire inlay at breech and muzzle end and blade front sight having stylized gold contour. Bbl. engraved with 75% coverage foliate scroll engraving. Bbl. address presented with gold wire inlay. Left side of bbl. marked "COLT SINGLE ACTION ARMY .45" in gold and straddled by a single gold inlaid bison. Just behind rear sight, a lone seated figure garbed in a wolf headdress takes aim with a Winchester rifle. Right side of bbl. gold inlaid with Native American hunter riding a horse in full gallop in pursuit of a running buffalo at the moment the spear finds its target. Snow capped mountains can be seen in the background. Bottom of bbl engraved with engraver's signature "Michael W. Dubber Eng.". Top of ejector rod housing engraved with mirror image overlapping feather style engraving divided at center depicting a golden sun. Side of ejector rod housing has a gold plated clutch of arrows fletched in silver and held together with silver star spangled ribbon and feathers. Clutch sits on finely stippled background with hints of scroll at either end of housing; each terminating in silver. Left side of frame fully scroll engraved with solid gold wire borders together with gold inlaid Rampant Colt logo. Right side of frame scroll engraving surrounds silver & gold bison skull motif, all of which is framed by solid gold wire border. Left recoil shield has large gold Native American warrior / hunter bust. Loading gate features gold & silver dream catcher emblazoned by primitive cave drawing style buffalo. Both side of hammer have large gold inlaid feather, edges of hammer have fancy straight line border engraving. Grip frame and trigger guard frame have multiple prairie flower gold inlays. Back strap has large vertical gold & silver spear pointing up at large gold & silver bison bust appearing on simple finely stippled background; all surrounded by solid gold wire inlay. Cylinder has full coverage foliate scroll engraving, unengraved flutes bordered with gold wire inlay terminating in prairie thistles at rear of each flute. Rear of cyl. accented by 2 gold bands. 1 Piece white grip has stunning raised relief herd of thundering bison, lead bull has been struck with a gold spear. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: original factory Colt wood grain box with styrofoam inserts. All aspects near excellent as custom finished.
