Concave game rib is marked "THOMAS HORSLEY & SONS, MAKERS, YORK PATENT 2410". Breech end of rib is stamped No. 1. Top tang has oval marking "T. HORSLEY/ 2410/ PATENT". Exposed hammer action with sculpted fences. Frame, lockplates, hammers, trigger plate, trigger guard, and forearm iron have generous coverage of fine arabesque scroll engraving with fancy borders. Double triggers and extractors. Wedge fastened splinter forearm and straight hand stock of fine English walnut featuring tear drop points and point pattern hand checkering. LOP: 14 1/4" over grooved hard rubber buttplate. DAC: 1 9/16". DAH: 2". Stock is slightly cast on. Bore Diameter: RT: .746, LT: .742. Choke Constriction: RT: Cyl. bore, LT: Cyl. bore. Minimum Wall Thickness: RT: .024, LT: .032. Weight: 6lbs. 12.2oz. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: oak case with brass corners. Red felt fitted interior. Case contains 2-piece oak cleaning rod, nickel finished oil bottle and snap caps, leather accessory box containing cleaning brushes, and leather case straps. Inside of lid has a Thomas Horsley makers label. CONDITION: bbls. retain a very good rebrowned finish. Action and fittings have a pleasing gray appearance retaining well defined engraving. Refinished stock and forearm show some remaining scratches and marks. Checkering shows moderate wear. Action is tight and on face. Good bright bores.
