SHOT RIFLE. Cal. 17 Squirrel. S# G1022. Bbl. 23" Rochester marked heavy sporter with recessed target crown plus Weaver scope base holding Weaver gloss finished 6X38MM scope having duplex reticle; 1" vertically split alloy rings. Originally was some other 17 caliber such as 17 HMR that was rechambered plus a recessed oval machined to eliminate the original caliber and then marked with "17 Squirrel" in the oval. Mfg. 2002-2021 with matte blued frame having polished sides on tops of its frame reinforcements. Satin finished walnut stock set having 2 screw attached forend with sling stud; buttstock has black ventilated recoil pad, sling stud plus black grip cap having intertwined "T" and "C" logo. Wildcat caliber made from necking down 22 Hornet brass and shortening it to .996" for 17 caliber bullets. Very economical to use as a pound of powder will power 800 rounds. Nice unit to have if you collect Ruger 10/22's due to its G1022 serial number. Another G2 with serial number SG1022 in this auction as well. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: barrel box without label having unrelated inked info. CONDITION: some extremely faint stock handling marks; all other aspects near excellent including bore and scope set.
