A SINGLE LEFT. 1) Pair of John Manton flint locks most likely for a double barrel pistol. NSN. Good quality locks having chamfered plates with square tails, French cocks, waterproof pans, bridled lipped frizzens and roller frizzen springs with bulbous finials. "MANTON" is at centers within line engraved borders. CONDITION: fine. Retaining most case hardened color. Internals are bright, mechanically fine. (01-21884/MGM). (2) ANTIQUE.
2) Left hand flint lock for gun S# 5094 with flat plate having pointed tail, fitted with French cock, waterproof pan, vented bridled frizzen and feather spring with large roller and no finial. "MANTON" is at center, a recumbent dog is at tail, arms on cock all within feather borders. CONDITION: good to very good with traces of color hardening remaining. Interior shows light pitting and cleaning. Mechanically good. (01-21885/MGM). ANTIQUE. $500-$1,000.
