1) Western Special Forced Bowie. Blade measures 9 1/4". 14 5/8" overall. Bright bowie blade is marked on right ricasso "WESTERN / BOWIE / U.S.A.". Brass crossguard swept forward at the top & rearward at the bottom. Rosewood grips secured by three rivets. Brown leather sheath. Sheath w/ riveted & stitched construction is unmarked. Plain belt loop. Retaining strap is present. CONDITION: blade has been lightly sharpened w/ light wear & scattered spots of oxidation as well as discoloration throughout. Crossguard is a pleasing patina w/ a small amount of verdigris. Rosewood grips have light wear & scratches. Leather sheath has wear, handling marks & spots of staining. Stitching is tight. 2) Model 1917 C.T. Bolo. 10 1/8" blade. 14 7/8" overall. Blade is marked on left ricasso "A.C. CO. / CHICAGO / 1918". Right ricasso is marked "U.S. MOD. 1917 / CT". Straight crossguard marked only w/ tiny "flaming bomb". Coarse machined replacement black walnut grips. Green canvas covered scabbard w/ brown leather tip equipped w/ Model 1910 belt hook. Brown leather tip is marked "BRAUER BROS / 1918". Scabbard is marked w/ a faded yellow inverted arrowhead enclosing a "D". CONDITION: blade has been cleaned, is returning to gray w/ wear & scattered tool marks throughout. Crossguard has welded repair at bottom. Replacement grips show very light wear. Scabbard has moderate wear & light scuffing w/ some loss of stitching. 3) U.S.M.C. Medical Corpsman 1st Issue Knife. 11 3/8" bright blade. 16 3/4" overall. Blade is marked on left side "U.S.M.C. / CHATILION, N.Y.". Hardwood grips secured by four rivets. Brown leather scabbard. Brass throat is the early type secured by two rivets. Scabbard is marked on back "USMC / BOYT / 43". CONDITION: blade has been heavily modified by grinding to shape the rounded tip into a point. Grips have been modified by the addition of finger grooves. Modifications show hobbyist workshop quality. Scabbard has dark stained leather w/ numerous handling marks. Stitching remains tight.
