WINCHESTER MODEL 1880 TOOL. No.1: Model 1875; small frame. Marked "44 W.C.F.". Tool is not made w/ Berdan decapping pick. Tool is marked on top "PAT OCT 20 1874". CONDITION: tool retains approx. 40% of its original gold-colored paint w/ wear, shallow pitting & spots of oxidation. Inside of sizing chamber is lightly oxidized. / No.2: Model 1875; large frame. Marked "43 SPH". Tool is equipped w/ the Berdan decapping pin. CONDITION: worn tool retains approx. 50% of its original gold colored paint w/ flaking. Bear metal has turned to patina. Sizing chamber has remnants of case neck & lead bullet lodged in the top. / No.3: Model 1875; large frame. Marked "45 75 W.C.F.". Tool made w/ Berdan decapping pin. CONDITION: tool has wear, oxidation & light pitting. Retains traces of the original gold paint in protected areas. Sizing chamber has light oxidation. / No.4: Model 1880; large frame. First type marked only w/ the ".45-60" caliber & "PAT. SEPT. 14 1880". Blued steel tool w/ non-adjustable seating chamber is equipped w/ Berdan decapping pin. CONDITION: tool has wear, oxidation & fine pitting while retaining traces of its original blue in protected areas. Seating chamber is lightly oxidized inside. PROVENANCE: Estate of Russell Dickerman.
