Cal. 30. S#.000539. Bbl. 24". There aren't many firearms from the military past of the United States that are as recognizable as the rectangular receiver & perforated barrel shroud of the Browning model 1919. In order to own a legal machine gun there are fees & a fairly lengthy amount of paperwork that aren't necessary for traditional, Title I firearms like hunting & target rifles. This particular Browning was manufactured by TNW & based on the war proven, original, as a functional semi auto only. This gives you the opportunity to own such an exciting piece of history w/ out the extra time & expense. This firearm transfers just like any other semi auto firearm. Rear of the iconic, circular vented barrel shroud is the front sight, a folding post, w/ an elevation adjustable ladder rear sight, marked out to 2400 yards. It may be fired utilizing a 1919A6 style bipod (not included) or mounted to a tripod w/ the proper cradle assembly. It currently appears to be chambered in 30-06. Common chamberings for this system can include 7.62 NATO, 8 mm Mauser & U.S. 30-06. Parkerized finish on all exposed metal surfaces. Right sideplate markings include: "U.S. GOVERNMENT / MODEL M1919 A4/A6 / CALIBER .30 SEMI AUTO / VERONA OR / SER. NO. 000539". Mounted on lightweight TNW M4-TP tripod. CONDITION: Parkerized finish on exposed metal surfaces retain full coverage, though display scattered patina & period correct staining under close inspection. Everything appears functional & correct though unable to confirm through live fire. Bore shows evidence of some heavy fouling though still retains strong rifling. Tripod is very nice w/ some finish thinning in areas of mechanical intervention though it is smooth in all operations. Fire control mechanism appears to function correctly when cycled by hand. (25-3915/JZ). MODERN. $2,500-$4,000.
