The left side of the slide is marked "FABRIQUE NATIONALE D'ARMES DE GUERRE/ HERSTAL BELGIQUE/ BROWNING'S PATENT DEPOSE". Left side of frame, slide, and right side of the bbl. exhibit Belgian military and commercial proofing, with the "C" within a hexagon proof being a transition proof between the encircled "H" proof and boxed "C" proof. Thumbprint slide, with a dovetailed blade front sight and V-notch tangent rear sight, graduated 50-500. Rear grip strap on frame is slotted for a stock attachment. All serialized parts are matching and include the frame, slide, and bbl. MAGS: 1 Belgian proof 13-rd. mag., with phosphate finished body, and blued split tail floorplate. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: note from Charles Wagner indicating the history of this transitionally proofed variation. CONDITION: metal components retain large amounts of their original blue finish, exhibiting areas of wear and thinning that show through to brown patina and areas of light to mild surface oxidation overall. Left forward edges of the slide exhibit heavy pitting. Bore is bright, exhibiting consistent mild pitting, while retaining well defined rifling throughout. Grips are excellent overall.
