Cal. 67. NSN. Bbl. 12 5/16". Flintlock pistol, likely of Turkish origin. Iron lock and bbl. Breech of bbl. features light foliate ornamentation. 1-piece wood stock features light carving overall, shallow relief carving at the top of the wrist, and brass furniture consisting of the sideplate, pommel cap, trigger guard, and ramrod ferrules. Right side of stock (at rear of lockplate) exhibits a brass plate repair. Bbl. features a sheet brass band towards the muzzle. CONDITION: iron components exhibit a gray patina, exhibiting light to mild oxidation and pitting overall. Brass furniture has acquired a mellow patina. Hammer will not cock. Stock shows scattered marks and impressions from handling and storage, with some scattered chipping, and a large chip on the right side of the lockplate, which is still present. (01-29108/MLW).
