"USN / SPRINGFIELD / 1870" on frame, Mexican unit initials on top of breech, 32.5" barrel with bayonet lug on bottom, missing ram rod, heavily weathered forestock, iron patina "as found", discernible markings, action functions, dirty rifled bore, heavily scuffed stock.
