USED "BENTLEY" REVOLVERS. Cal 44 (54 bore). S# 3218 & S# 3542. Known by Confederate collectors as Bentley revolvers as the serial range of known Confederate examples are marked "D BENTLEY PATENT" on top strap as does S# 3218. These guns are actually English Wedge Frame Webleys made late 1850s through mid 1860s. S# 3173 was carried by Confederate general, and several have Confederate association including S# 3111 & 3221 both listed on inventory list of 18th Virginia cavalry, famous Pratt list.
