RAID WARDEN HELMET. Lot consists of: 1.) U.S. M1 Early WWII Helmet with front seam and swivel bale. The chin-strap has a double brass hook. Helmet is OD green in color. Pressed fiber-board helmet liner has been painted green on the outside. The liner includes leather chin-strap and sweat-band. CONDITION: helmet appears to have its original OD green paint with light wear, flaking and staining. Liner and suspension appear complete with moderate wear. / 2.) U.S. M1 Helmet with rear seam and swivel bale. Green web chin-strap with ball fastener. Helmet is painted OD green inside and out. Helmet liner is pressed fiber-board with green colored cloth suspension. Leather chin-strap is present. CONDITION: helmet has small dents, scratches and flaking paint with the appearance of having been repainted in the past. Liner has worn black paint on outside. Suspension has moderate wear, but appears serviceable. / 3.) Civil Defense Helmet patterned loosely on the earlier WWI style. Helmet originally painted white has darkened to a tan color and has a red and white striped triangle inside a blue circle as its insignia. The integral suspension is cloth. CONDITION: helmet has wear, staining. Small hole has been punched in rear of rim. Suspension has staining and wear. Leather portion is largely detached. (02-27018/RW). NON-GUN. $200-300.
