Cal. 44. S# 127909. Bbl. 8" rnd. with German silver blade sight. Address on top of bbl. reads, " -ADDRESS COL. SAML COLT NEW-YORK U.S. AMERICA -". Round rebated 6 shot cyl. with naval scene roll engraving. Bbl., frame, trigger guard, cyl., wedge & backstrap all have matching numbers. Inspector's mark "H" is found behind the trigger guard. One piece walnut grips. Right panel has an illegible cartouche but the outline can clearly be seen. 1863 Mfg. during the U.S. Civil War. CONDITION: bbl., frame & backstrap finish has faded to gray. 80% Lightly visible cyl. scene. Frame & hammer are fading to gray. Loading lever also is primarily gray. Grips have honest wear & a very tiny chip on the left base. Action is quite sound. Bore shows strong rifling & is quite crisp. (01-20980/BF). ANTIQUE. $1,500-1,800.
