COMMEMORATIVE REVOLVER. Cal. 36. S# 671. Bbl. 7.5" octagonal. Manufactured in 1984. Limited production run of 2500 guns. U.S. Historical Society Robert E. Lee Commemorative Colt Model 1851 Navy Pistol. 6-Shot cylinder. Dark blued steel barrel & frame w/ polished brass trigger guard & pistol grip frame. Gold scroll & artwork on barrel frame & cylinder w/ "LEE" on top of barrel. In fitted lockable wooden case w/ leather top inlay. Interior of case is a gray colored velvet. Top cover interior bears brass plate engraved "THE OFFICIAL ROBERT E LEE COMMERATIVE PISTOL AUTHORIZED BY U.S. HISTORICAL SOCIETY". Case fitted for silver plated powder flask, a 1oz. commemorative coin bearing the likeness of Robert E. Lee marked "MACO FINE SILVER .999+". & 6 .36 caliber gold plated balls & a 1.6" diameter cap cup bearing the initials R.E. Lee. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: fitted hardwood case lined w/ gray velour, 1 oz. silver commemorative coin, silver plated powder flask, 6 gold plated 36 caliber balls. CONDITION: not uncommon of collectable commemorative items, all outward appearances indicate as new. No noticeable blemishing aside from natural tarnishing. (01-21793/JZ). ANTIQUE. $500-1000.
