SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOL. Cal. 32 Rimless. S# 564529. Bbl. 3 3/4". Model 1903 Hammerless semi-automatic pistol mfg. by Colt in 1942. Left side of the slide is marked with Colt's mfg. information, followed by the Rampant Colt logo, with the cal. designation marked on the right. Left side of the frame is marked with a large spurious U.S. cross cannons escutcheon, with what appears to be a spurious "U.S. PROPERTY" mark on the right. Metal components exhibit a reapplied parkerized finish overall, with the bbl. exhibiting a reapplied blue finish. Frame is mounted with 2-piece Colt silver medallion checkered wood grips. Interior of slide exhibits a matching S# to the frame, which appears to have been reapplied to match. MAGS: 1 reblued 8-rd. CONDITION: metal components retain the vast majority of their reapplied finishes, exhibiting some superficial handling marks overall. Very bright bore, as refinished, exhibiting consistent dark pitting, while retaining strong rifling throughout. Grips show some smoothing, as well as a few scattered marks from handling and storage, but otherwise remains sturdy and serviceable. (24-6832/MLW). CURIO. $500-800.
