RIFLE CONVERTED TO 7.62 NATO. Cal. 7.62x51. S# 1438584. Bbl. 24". Rifle originally mfg. in 1943. Has been converted to 7.62 NATO cal. by the addition of a sleeve in the chamber & has an added white spacer in the mag. to prevent loading w/ the original 30-06 ammunition. Bbl. is marked on right side "3-S-A-3-43" & enhanced in white "7.62 NATO". T105E1 aperture rear sight. Blade front sight w/ protective ears. All major parts markings are "SA". Milled trigger guard. Walnut stock set. Buttstock is marked only w/ faint encircled "P" under grip. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: cardboard shipping box containing 8 rd clip, green nylon sling, open bolt indicator, Fulton Armory advertisement & CMP owner's manual. Includes a CMP data sheet. Also includes a certificate of authenticity dated 2004 & signed by Gary Anderson. CONDITION: stock set has arsenal rework finish w/ extensive wear, staining, dents & handling marks. Front handguard has 2" crack in forward end. Metal retains 75% of its original parkerized finish including the two-toned receiver anneal. Very good shiny bore.
