RIFLE. Cal. 30-06. S# 112926. Import marked on bottom of barrel. Bbl. 24". Barrel marked behind front sight "SA / flaming bomb / 12-41". Receiver manufactured in 1904. Ladder rear sight graduated to 2,850 yards. Elevation locking knob is not present. Blade front sight. Sight protector is present. Bolt with straight down handle is unmarked. All milled furniture except butt swivel. Walnut stock set. Buttstock is Model 1903A1 pistol grip type with two reinforcing bolts and without grasping grooves. Stock set has no visible markings. CONDITION: stock set has seen extensive hard service, likely in a harsh environment. Buttstock has "bored soldier" initials on left side. Several cracks behind receiver tang and at the rear of the trigger guard. End of pistol grip has notable chipping. Balance of stock has wear, staining, dents and scratches throughout. Worn metal has turned overall gray and patina. Buttplate is badly distorted. Follower and follower spring is not present. Dark worn bore. (25-6268/RW). CURIO. $300-500.
