MILITARY RIFLE. Cal. 30-06. S# 1168663. Bbl. 24". Replacement barrel marked behind front sight "SA / flaming bomb / 10 42". Ladder rear sight w/o volley notch. Blade front sight. Receiver w/ Hatcher hole has the ejection port for a Pedersen Device in the left rail. No other Mark 1 parts are present. Bolt w/ swept handle. Handle is marked on top "B2" & is electro-penciled w/ non-matching serial number. Bolt shroud, magazine cutoff & trigger guard marked "R". All milled furniture including smooth trap buttplate. Walnut stock set. Model 1903A3 pistol grip stock manufactured by "Keystone". Stock is marked on the left side over trigger guard w/ "RA-P" overhaul mark. Marked w/ "P" proof under grip & has numerous letter & numerals markings at end of pistol grip & at belly of stock. Markings are likely from military units. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: plastic oiler in butt. CONDITION: stock set has arsenal rework refinish w/ moderate wear, staining & handling marks throughout. Stock has notable sanding marks & obliterated numerical marking on left side of butt. Metal retains 75% worn thinning arsenal rework parkerization. Very good shiny bore. (25-3815/RW). CURIO. $500-700.
