RIFLE. Cal. 22 LR. S# 8397. Bbl. 24 1/2" barrel. Barrel is marked behind front sight "SA / flaming bomb / 9-26". Barrel does not carry the caliber marking on the left side. Receiver fitted w/ Lyman 48 aperture rear sight w/ small knobs. Slide graduated to 125 points. Numbers match on slide & base. Blade front sight. Sight blade has been reduced in height. Receiver ring & barrel have been fitted w/ scope blocks approx. 7 2/10" on center. Front block is retained by hex-head screws. Bolt w/ speed-lock is marked on top of handle "W / L / 3". Walnut stock w/ curved checkered steel. Shotgun type buttplate. Stock is unmarked. Rifle is equipped w/ 10 power Lyman Targetspot scope w/ external adjustments including A/O Blued Steel 3/4" Tube. Fine crosshair reticle. Recoil spring is present. Scope is marked on right side w/ standard Lyman markings & "TARGETSPOT". Steel Lyman mounts. Screw-in scope caps are present. MAGS: 1 detachable unmarked 5 rd. reproduction. CONDITION: stock has moderately worn original finish w/ handling marks & spots of staining. Receiver has been reblued w/ light wear. Barrel has a dark lightly oxidized appearance w/ spots of very light pitting & paint flecks. Very good shiny bore. Scope retains a large percentage of its original blue w/ thinning & light wear. The adjustable objective has had most of its blue removed & is a contrasting grey color. Optics are slightly cloudy, but serviceable. (25-3566/RW). CURIO. $2,000-3,000.
