ACTION TRAINING RIFLE. Cal. 22 LR. S# 12376. Bbl. 24". Barrel is in the white with no visible markings. Receiver ring marked on top "U.S. / SPRINGFIELD / ARMORY / CAL. .22 M2". Professional appearing conversion of a Springfield M2 training rifle to a sporter appearance. Front sight replaced with ramp type sporting sight with white bead. Receiver ring is drilled for Lyman 48 front sight. Sight is not present. Bolt is marked "M2" with "MS on bolt handle. Walnut stock is marked only with encircled "P" proof. Stock is equipped with checkered cup type buttplate. Barrel band with sling swivel. Milled butt swivel not inletted fully in buttstock. Barrel band retaining pin is not present. MAGS: one detachable five round blued steel marked "M2" magazine. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: included in group is Timney fully adjustable single stage sporting type trigger, standard trigger is installed in rifle. CONDITION: stock has a professional refinish with very light wear and scattered handling marks. The bolt handle recess and cutout for sight base have softened edges. 1" crack behind receiver tang. Metal is in the white with most of the finish removed. Exhibits light wear and scattered small handling marks with areas of protective coating. Very good shiny bore. (25-3157/RW). MODERN. $400-600.
