ACTION TRAINING RIFLE. Cal. 22 LR. S# 7928B. Bbl. 23". Attractive sporter Springfield Model 1922 training rifle. The bbl. has been shortened to 23". Receiver has been drilled on top for Weaver bases & rings. Rifle carries a BSA Platinum 36X44 telescopic sight w/ AO & finger adjustable turrets. Screw-in scope caps. Scope manufactured in Japan. No iron sights are fitted. Bolt fitted w/ unmarked low scope safety. Rifle is fitted w/ a very nice checkered walnut sporting stock w/ Monte Carlo comb & Neidner type checkered steel buttplate. MAGS: 1 detachable 5 rd. CONDITION: stock is in very nice condition w/ only tiny scattered handling marks. Metal retains a large percentage of its original Parkerized finish w/ very light wear. Bolt is polished bright. Very good shiny bore. PROVENANCE: Estate of Russell Dickerman. (25-1982/RW). MODERN. $400-600.
