ACTION RIFLE. Cal. 30-40 Krag. S# 241128. Bbl. 22 3/4". Rifle has been professionally sporterized by shortening the original barrel, replacing the original stock with a checkered sporting style and by replacing the original sights. Receiver is equipped with base for an aperture sight. The slide and aperture are not present. Ramp front sight with Marbles 57 gold bead. Receiver has Weaver scope mount marked "SIDE-1"H". This is mounted on the left rail. The mount carries a Lyman All-American 4X scope with tapered post and crosshair reticle. Scope has gloss black alloy 1" tube. Bolt handle has been ground to clear the scope and a low scope Buehler safety is fitted. Rifle is stocked with a checkered walnut sporter type with raised cheekpiece Monte Carlo comb. Ventilated recoil pad. Black grip and forend tip with white spacer. 1" QD sling swivels are fitted. CONDITION: stock, which has a professional looking fit, has very light wear and scattered tiny handling marks. Metal has been polished and blued and retains most of this finish, however receiver is turning gray. Scope has light wear and notable scratches. Optics appear serviceable. Bore has a degree of shine with notably worn lands. (25-6588/RW). MODERN. $300-400.
