SHEATH. Custom U.S.G.I. theater made fighting knife. The double edged blade measures 7 1/4" from the point to the top of the guard, with an overall length of 11 3/8". Handle appears to be comprised of blue painted particle board type wood, featuring deep grasping grooves, with a large knuckle bow that features 5 brass spikes. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: brown leather sheath marked "227S" above the retention strap. CONDITION: blade retains a dark gray patina, exhibiting areas of light to mild pitting and oxidation overall, which is also present on the knuckle bow. Grips show some wear, with some losses to its blue painted finish, but otherwise remains sturdy and serviceable. Brass spikes exhibit a pleasing brown patina. Sheath remains malleable, exhibiting some areas of wear, with some light to mild age related cracking and crazing. (02-24403/MLW). $500-800.
