RIFLE. Cal. 30-06. S# 1167692. Bbl. 26" Hi-Standard replacement barrel marked behind front sight "HS (flaming bomb) P" proof. Ladder aperture rear sight graduated to 1600 yards. Blade front sight with protective ears. Receiver is marked on left side with flaming bomb, and marked on top of left rail a partially struck eagle proof. Rear sight, safety, bolt and upper band marked "E". Cocking piece and forend tip marked "W". Walnut stock set. Stock has very faint boxed acceptance mark over trigger guard. Illegible boxed marking on left side of grip. Marked underneath grip with boxed "P" proof. Smooth trap buttplate. "KERR NOBUCKL" web sling. CONDITION: stock set has very good arsenal rework finish with light wear and scattered handling marks. Inletted repair at bottom of forend near upper band. Metal retains a large degree of arsenal rework finish with thinning and light wear. Very good, shiny bore. PROVANANCE: the Lifelong Collection of Terrence McCarty. (24-356/RW). CURIO. $350-500.
