RIFLE. CAL. 30-06. S# 1213248. Bbl. 26", marked behind the front sight "E", flaming bomb, and "9-18". Ladder aperture rear sight graduated to 1600 yards. Blade front sight with protective ears. All visible parts are marked "E", including the stock tip. Receiver is marked on the left rail with a flaming bomb and a faint eagle head acceptance mark. Walnut stock set. Stock is marked under grip with the "3Z" assembly number and an eagle head acceptance mark. CONDITION: original finish stock set has light wear and numerous scattered handling marks, an area of paint flecks on the lower left side of the buttstock, and a moderate area of abrasion on the right side of the buttstock. Metal retains 75% of its original finish, with thinning and light wear. Bore has strong lands with oxidation in the grooves. (24-1919/RW). CURIO. $350-550.
