Group consists of two khaki cloth bandoliers. The first bandolier is marked "60 Ball Cartridges, Cal. .30, / Model of 1898 / Frankford Arsenal dated Jan. 5 1907". The bandolier contains its full 60 rounds of cartridges. One pocket is open and the headstamp is "FA 12 06". The second bandolier is marked "60 Ball Cartridges, Cal. .30, / Model of 1898 / Remington Arms U.M.C. Co. dated 1917". One pocket is open and is missing five of its cartridges leaving a total of 55. The cartridges are headstamped "RA" and "17". The copper colored primer is stamped with an "R". CONDITION: as is very common for cartridges in this era, the necks are split. This was due to an excess of neck tension during the manufacture of the cartridges. Cartridges appear generally clean, but may have light oxidation. The bandoliers have wear and staining with areas of loose stitching. (02-26288-1/RW). AMMO. $150-250.
