RIFLE. Cal. 30-06. S# 389824. Bbl. 26". Barrel marked behind front sight "R / flaming bomb / 7-18". Ladder rear sight marked "R" graduated to 1,600 yards. Blade front sight w/ protective ears. Receiver is marked on left front rail w/ "flaming bomb" & two eagle head acceptance marks. Bolt is marked "R". Bolt sleeve & cocking piece are marked "E". Walnut stock set. Stock is marked "R" on forend tip. Stock has legible eagle head "339" ahead of trigger guard & eagle head "30?" behind trigger guard. CONDITION: buttstock has arsenal rework type finish w/ added finish over moderate wear & handling marks. Handguards appear to be replacements & retain their lightly worn original finish. Metal retains a large degree of original blue w/ thinning & light wear. Replacement parkerized bolt has notable thinning in wear. Very good shiny bore. (25-3905/RW). CURIO. $700-900.
