Cal. 30 Carbine. S# 6319852. Bbl. 18". Bbl. is marked behind front sight "INLAND / MFG. DIV. / GENERAL MOTORS / 11-44". Stamped adjustible aperture rear sight. Blade front sight with protective ears marked "N." Bbl. band with bayonet lug marked "JI." The six o'clock slide is marked "PI." Round bolt is marked "IO." Milled trigger guard is marked "INLAND." Rotary safety. The straight-cut hammer is marked "HI." Low wood oval cut, pot belly hardwood replacement stock. Marked only with a tiny "E" underneath the pistol grip and marked on the left side of the grip with "WB." Four-rivet handguard is marked "M." Green web sling. CONDITION: stock set has moderate wear, staining, and handling marks throughout. Buttstock has wood removed between oiler cut and buttplate. Metal retains 60% of the thinning, worn original finish. Bright, shiny bore. (24-5404/RW). CURIO. $700-1,000.
