Cal. 30 Carb. S# 905804. Bbl. 18", marked behind front sight "INLAND MFG DIV." / "GENERAL MOTORS" / "10-4?". Stamped adjustable rear sight "I.R.CO." Stamped blade front sight assembly. Barrel band with bayonet lug marked "JM". The 6 o'clock slide is marked inside "PI". Marked on the bottom with the drawing number and "G". The milled triggerguard is marked "ROCKOLA". Rotary safety. Mag. catch marked "WA". Straight-cut hammer. The marking appears to be "I.I". Low wood oval-cut walnut stock marked "IO" in sling slot. The two-rivet handguard is marked "H.I.". Period green web sling. MAGS: 2–15 rd. One marked "JS" and one marked "R-C", plus 1–30 rd., marked "J". UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: Green web 2 pocket mag. pouch marked "U.S." and marked on back "J.S.&S. CO. 1943". CONDITION: buttstock in very good condition with light wear and scattered handling marks. The handguard is in good condition with wear, light staining, and handling marks. Metal retains 75% of its mix of parkerized finishes with light to moderate wear. Good, shiny bore with lightly worn lands. PROVENANCE: from the collection of Curtis H. Halvorson. (23-5889/RW).
