SHOTGUN. CAL. 12 ga. S# 66678. Bbl. length appears to be 20". Bbl. is fitted with Weaver choke which has a brass bead front sight and a screw in tube marked 1/4. This aftermarket assembly adds approx. 3" to the length of the round bbl. Bbl. is marked on left side "SAVAGE" "SAVAGE ARMS CORPORATION" / "UTICA, NEW YORK" U.S.A. /MODEL 720". "P" over flaming bomb. "SP" in oval. Plus 2 stars. Bbl. and receiver have "P" over punch mark on top left . Bbl. marked on right side "PROOF TESTED 12 GA. 2 3/4" CHAMBER". Receiver is marked "SAVAGE" on left side along w/ Quail scene. Right side has flying ducks. Trigger guard tang is marked "M", "S", "S". Unmarked walnut stock set. Forend has factory checkering plus grasping grooves. Plain buttstock. Buttplate is period replacement. CONDITION: stock set has lightly worn original finish plus light staining and scattered handling marks with worn diamonds. Forend has long cracks on bottom and right. Approx. 1/2" crack at heel. Metal has original blue finish with thinning and light wear. Choke assembly has gloss black finish and is not installed in the correct vertical position. Very good shiny bore. (24-1327/RW).
