ALL DATED 1941. This group may be referenced in the book U.S. MILITARY HOLSTERS AND RELATED ACCOUTREMENTS by Edward Scott Meadows. The russet leather holster is marked "US" on the flap and is marked on back "BOYT 41". Flap is secured by brass finial. Holster is equipped w/ belt loop & Model 1910 belt hook. Holster tip has brass grommets for tie down strap. Khaki Model 1936 pistol belt marked inside "R.M. CO. / 1941". Belt is equipped w/ 2 sliding keepers & plain snap to position ammo pouch. Brass fitting w/ subdued finish. Two pocket khaki mag. pouch. Flap has single "lift the dot" fastener. Pouch is marked on back "R.M. CO. / 1941". First aid pouch marked "U.S." on flap which is secured by "lift the dot" fastener. Pouch marked on back "GEIB INCORPORATED / 1941". Pouch has Model 1910 type belt hook and contains Carlisle first aid packet. Packet is sealed copper container colored OD Green. CONDITION: holster has light wear, flexing, scuffing & staining. Stitching is tight. Belt has light wear w/ considerable loss of finish on fittings which leaves a patinaed appearance. Stitching is tight. Mag. pouch has very light wear & staining. First aid pouch & packet in very good condition. PROVENANCE: The Collection of Edward Scott Meadows. (02-22092/RW). $300-500.
