MILITARY RIFLE. Cal. 30-06. S# 4149770. Bbl. 24". Marked behind front sight "RA / flaming bomb / 12 of 43". Adj. aperture rear sight graduated to 800 yards. Blade front sight. All major parts markings are "R". All stamped furniture including fine checkered trap buttplate & small bow trigger guard. Straight grip walnut stock set. Stock is marked on left side w/ faint "crossed cannons" & partial boxed "FJA". Cheek area is marked "OG" which indicates test & check at Ogden Arsenal. Circle "P" proof under grip & assembly numbers visible ahead of trigger guard. Model 1907 leather sling dated 1944. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: nickel plated oiler in butt. CONDITION: stock set has moderate wear & staining w/ scattered handling marks. Metal retains 80% of its mix of wartime blue & Parkerization w/ light wear. Very good shiny 2 groove bore.
