RIFLE. Cal. 30-06. S# 414582. Bbl. 24". Rifle has been given a thorough restoration by Dean's Gun Restorations, Jacksboro, Tennessee, to include a new Criterion barrel & a replacement walnut stock set. Barrel is marked on right side "CBI 05/10". Consignor supplied information states rifle has not been rifled. Throat & muzzle gauge less than 1.0. Flesh nut aperture rear sight. Blade front sight w/ protective ears. All major parts markings are "SA". Single slot gas cyl. lock screw. Consignor supplied paperwork includes the technical inspection sheet & invoice for this rifle & indicates that along with the above mentioned standard stock & barrel, the rifle has new springs, stacking swivel & screw, front handguard liner, lower band, front handguard ferrule & trigger. Operating rod was rebuilt. Walnut stock set is unmarked. CONDITION: rifle has a very nice appearance w/ its restored finish. The stock set finish is near excellent. Metal has been completely reparkerized in a gray finish. The receiver shows some areas of shallow pitting underneath the professional reparkerization, most of which is below the stock line. Bright shiny bore w/ sharp lands appears unfired. PROVENANCE: included is original invoice & technical inspection paper along w/ break-in instructions. Supplied by Dean's Gun Restorations.
