Cal. 30-06. S# 3627636. Bbl. 24", marked behind front sight "SC (flaming bomb) 12-42". Adustible aperture rear sight. Blade front sight. The bolt assembly is a Remington mfg. replacement. All stamped furniture, including the fine checkered buttplate and correct large bowl Smith Corona trigger guard. Walnut stock set with straight grip and 2 recoil bolts. Stock is marked on the left side over the trigger guard with faint crossed cannons and the unboxed "FJA." Encircled, double-stamped "P" proof and "H" under grip. Assembly marks at the front of the trigger guard include "75" in a triangle, boxed "52," encircled "9," plus "1" and "5". Stock appears to be a modern replacement. CONDITION: stock set has light wear and scattered handling marks. Notable small area of white on the right side by recoil bolt. Metal retains a large degree of arsenal rework and greenish parkerization with very light wear. Notable splotches of white in the front sight area. Very good, shiny bore.
