MILITARY RIFLE. Cal. 30.06. S# 4835076. Bbl. 24". Bbl. marked behind front sight "SC", flaming bomb, "1143". Aperture rear sight adjustable to 800 yards. Blade front sight with sheet metal sight cover. Replacement bolt assembly is Remington Model 1903-A3. Mag. cutoff is unmarked. All stamped furniture including checkered buttplate and lg. bow Remington trigger guard. Straight grip walnut stock set with 2 recoil bolts. Stock is marked on left side with boxed "FJA" and partial crossed cannons. Stock is marked under grip with encircled "P" proof and "E". Crisp assembly numbers ahead of trigger guard including "8" with triangle and diamond. Encircled "4" plus boxed "11". Green web sling. CONDITION: stock set has original finish with very light wear and scattered handling marks however buttstock has a cleaned area from the grip rearward with notably thinner finish. Metal has large percentage of original wartime parkerized finish with light wear. Furniture, except for upper band, is blued. Very good shiny 4 groove bore.
