MILITARY RIFLE. Cal. 30-06. S# 4733916. Bbl. 24". Marked behind front sight "SC / flaming bomb / 6 43". Aperture rear sight graduated to 1,800 yards. Blade front sight. Bolt assembly is Remington manufactured replacement. Bolt is electro-penciled to match on top of bolt handle. Cutoff is marked "R". All stamped furniture w/ fine checkered trap buttplate. Correct Smith Corona small bow trigger guard. Upper band is marked "R". Walnut stock set w/ two recoil bolts & straight grip. Stock has partial boxed "FK" on left side & boxed "RIA / EB" on left side of butt. Two encircled "P" proofs under grip. Assembly marks ahead of trigger guard consists of "X / 1". Stock has "3916" stamped in right side of butt. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: plastic oiler in butt. CONDITION: stock set has moderately worn arsenal rework finish w/ numerous handling marks & gouged area on right side of handguard at forward end. Metal retains 80% of its worn gray parkerized original finish. Bright shiny four groove bore. (25-3827/RW). CURIO. $500-800.
