MILITARY RIFLE. Cal. 30-06. S# C3712847. Bbl. 24". Marked behind front sight "SC / flaming bomb / 4 43". Adjustable aperture rear sight graduated to 800 yards. Blade front sight with "U.S." marked sight cover. Correct Smith Corona bolt and bolt sleeve. All stamped furniture except fine checkered milled buttplate and milled butt swivel. Large bow Remington trigger guard. Upper band is marked "R". 1903A4 type pistol grip walnut stock. Stock with two recoil bolts is unmarked. Unmarked tab leather Model 1907 type leather sling. CONDITION: stock set has arsenal rework type finish with slight softening of edges and scattered light handling marks. Metal retains 75% of its mix of blue and parkerized colorations. Four groove bore with lightly worn lands and slightly frosted grooves. (26-1347/RW). CURIO. $500-800.
