PUMP SHOTGUN. Cal. 12 ga., 2 5/8". S# 300678. Bbl. 30" of nickel steel with milled vent rib and duck bill receiver extension. Fixed full choke. White target front sight with steel mid bead. Pigeon-grade factory engraving by George Ulrich, Winchester's most prestigious engraver from 1919 to 1949. The right side of the action features an upland scene with two pointing dogs and two flushing partridges. The left side features a marsh scene depicting four flying mallards. Scenes are bordered by a vine-type foliate scroll that extends to the front portions of the receiver and the trigger guard bow. Extension beavertail forearm with pigeon-grade diamond checkering and an early style pistol grip stock of fancy walnut. Stock features trap-grade checkering with black diamonds on both sides of the wrist. LOP: 14 1/8" over an aftermarket solid red London style pad. Mfg. 1922. CONDITION: action retains over 90% reblued finish; engraving shows mild polishing. Bbl. and mag. tube retain 80% of the lightly worn blue showing slide wear. Refinished wood shows wear and handling marks with thinned checkering. Stock has a very small chip left of the trigger guard tang. The recoil pad is age-hardened and cracking. Very good, bright bore.
