Cal. 9mm. S# 01069. Bbl.16". Manufactured by Weaver Arms of Escondido, CA. It was manufactured heavily from aluminum & glass-filled nylon, and had aspirations of being a legitimate alternative to the popular Israeli Uzi, boasting more features w/ a lightweight package. In May of 1988, Weaver had all but finalized a deal w/ the Chinese Government to start full scale production for import into the United States as well as searching for international end users. As of the time of the Chinese deal, Weaver had already manufactured 1,500 units in the USA, before ceasing production to focus on Chinese manufacturing. Style-wise, the lower receiver looks similar to an Ingram M10, though made of a glass-filled nylon, rather than steel. Barrel has a threaded muzzle, currently sporting a thread protector. Front sight is an exposed blade. Black plastic vertical pistol grip, forward of black plastic front handguard. Ambidextrous safety / selector above trigger. Top mounted, non-reciprocating charging handle. Protected peep rear sight. Collapsible wire shoulder stock w/ large steel buttplate. Sling swivels front & rear. MAGS: 5 Steel 25 rd. CONDITION: Outward finish appears complete & consistent w/ strong coverage. Some thinning on high spots & in areas of mechanical intervention. Shoulder stock locks tightly, both extended & collapsed. Bore is bright w/ strong rifling. Fire control mechanism appears to function correctly when cycled by hand. (25-2227/JZ). MODERN. $500-900.
