The 75mm shell measures approximately 13 1/2" tall. The base is fluted for approximately 6 1/2". The top section has raised lettering w/ a U.S. eagle motif on one side & a double flag w/ oak leaves motif on the back. The lettering on front is "AMERICA TO FRANCE". On the back, the left hand flag is engraved faintly "34 ENG. / 1918 / A.E. JONES". Consignor states A.E. Jones was an American artilleryman who served in the first World War. The lamp has a circular wooden base measuring approximately 9" across & 2 1/4" high. The light fixture takes two standard base bulbs. The lamp is topped w/ a brass framed colored glass shade. Hexagon hade measures approximately 15 3/4" across flats & is approximately 7" tall. The colored glass is is a green band w/ a blue top made into 12 individual curved panels. One blue glass panel is not present. CONDITION: the lamp has a pleasing vintage appearance w/ the brass parts turned a dark patina. Electrical function not tested. Base has wear & handling marks. The glass panels have no visible cracks. (02-25130/RW). NON-GUN. $300-500.
