Cal. 30 Carbine. S# 13023. Bbl. 18". Adjustable aperture rear sight. Blade front sight; the protective ears have been removed. These carbines were manufactured in Hialeah, Florida, between 1961 and 1984 to capitalize on the demand for U.S. GI carbines. Approximately 420,000 were produced. This early production gun features a walnut stock set, a single recoil spring, and a surplus rotary safety in the newly produced trigger housing. The bayonet lug and 6 o'clock slide with the hold open are G.I. issue. The walnut stock, dated on the inside of the forend "MARCH 18 1963", has an added sling swivel in the sling slot on the left side. Four-rivet handguard. Green web sling. MAGS. 1-15rd G.I. CONDITION: Stock set has light wear and scattered handling marks. App. 4" crack on the right side of butt across the oval oiler cut. Metal retains 75% of its blue finish, with thinning and light wear. Very good, shiny bore. (24-2560/RW). CURIO. $500-700.
