PISTOL. Cal. 7.65mm. S# 860724. Bbl. 3 1/4". Model PPK semi-automatic pistol mfg. by Walther in 1935. Left side of the slide is exhibits the Walther banner logo, followed by markings stipulating Walther's mfg. information, as well as the model and cal. designations. Right side of the frame (on chamber), slide, and bbl. exhibit a German Crown/N commercial nitro proof. Front grip strap bears an unusual unidentified marking. Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall, save for on the chamber area, which is polished in-the-white. Trigger bluing has turned a plum color. Slide matches the frame via "724" which is lightly etched on the interior, parallel to the ejection port. MAGS: 1 blued 7-rd. CONDITION: metal components retain the majority of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting areas of wear and thinning that show through to gray patina overall, as well as some scattered spots of light surface oxidation and pitting. Mirror bore, exhibiting some spots of light pitting, while retaining strong rifling throughout. Grip shows some smoothing to the checkered and some scattered superficial marks from handling and storage, with a large crack present on the left side that stems from the top of the grip panel.
