SPANISH AMERICAN WAR TO WWII. 1) Spanish American War 57mm artillery rd. Projectile assembled in fired case. Head stamp "Manufactured by Winchester Repeating Arms Co. New Haven Conn. U.S.A." & dated "9-98". 2) Undated 5" US Navy brass drill projectile marked "5 INCH DRILL MK II". 3,4,5) 3 WWI 75mm rds. for the "French 75" artillery piece. 2 Have plaques attached by screws stating "75mm High Explosive Shell Made By American Can Company". 1 Shorter case version w/ timed fuse marked on base "NO. 38M GT12-1316". 6) Unmarked 75mm w/ percussion fuse. 7) WWII 75mm M23A2B1 artillery shell dated 1943 . Capped armor piercing in dark bronze lacquered drill case. 8,9) Casing & armor piercing 75mm tank shell. Case dated 1944. Shell is marked "AP M61" w/ tracer. 10) Unknown British rd. w/ timed fused shell. Shell 83.4mm diameter. Shell is fixed onto decorative base formed from parts of other artillery shells. 11,12) 2 Wooden 3", .50 cal. US Navy drill cartridges dated 1944. 13) 57mm recoilless rifle practice rd. perforated shell is marked "57mm M30 A1 B1 1953". 14) 81mm Mortar shell painted green 15) 37mm M51 B2 shell dated 1944. Lot also includes rnd. wooden display base approx. 10" diameter, 4" tall. CONDITION: shells in good attractive condition. Some have been cleaned. Some will have wear, handling & oxidation.
