WINCHESTER RECEIVER. Cal.30-06. S#1365165. This M-1D was obtained from the CMP in excellent arsenal rework condition with its correct M84 telescopic sight and the correct basic issue items for this rifle. Bbl. 24". Barrel is marked on the left side "S-A-1-5?". The last digit has been obliterated by a round nosed punch. The throat gauges 1.5. The muzzle gauges 1.0. The receiver and hammer are marked "WRA" with the balance of the parts marked "SA". T105E1 aperture rear sight. Blade front sight with protective ears. The barrel has the correctly fitted base for the M84 scope. Correct short rear handguard. Walnut stock set. Buttstock is marked only with two "P" proofs under grip. The lace-on leather cheek piece is unmarked. The M84 scope is marked on a plate on the right side"TELESCOPE" / "SERIAL NO. 16818". The markings on the packing materials indicate that the scope was overhauled "4/68-SA4". The scope shows very light wear and the optics are sharp and clear. Post and crosshair reticle. UNNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: The paperwork supplied with the rifle includes DD Form 1348-1A in the name of the original purchaser and a bill of sale from the purchaser to another individual. Two copies of the "Basic issue items list from TOOELE ARMY DEPOT, Tooele, Utah. These items accompany the rifle and are in their original sealed packaging. Matching cardboard shipping box. CONDITION: wood and metal retain nearly all of their quality arsenal rework finish making an attractive appearing rifle. There is a scratch at the top of the grip on the left side.
