Overall length: 39 1/4". Blade length: 31 1/2". Blade has a single wide fuller with a secondary fuller near the spine. Blade is etched over the first 17” with various foliate motifs and sprays of arms. There is an etched mark near the ricasso that reads “W.H. Horstmann & Sons Philadelphia.” Gilded brass semi-basket 2-branch hilt with foliate embellishments at the base of the branches. The pommel has laurel leaves with a central flower and a plain pommel cap. Plated iron scabbard. CONDITION: blade generally has a light gray patina with evidence of pitting near the tip. The edge has a few nicks and appears to have been lightly sharpened. The hilt shows light overall wear with a pleasing patina. Grip & wire are complete. Scabbard finish is better than 95%.
